In the morning Kashka and I headed out relatively early to wonder about the streets and find cheaper accommodation. It’s so crazy here; the people stare with evil gleaming eyes especially at Kashka because she is a woman with light hair, they hassle you more than ever could want and even if you bring yourself to ask for directions you feel you should pay. Indians methods of doing things completely differ from other places I have been for example; having to use the internet, first you need your passport, you need to fill in the details on this program set up on a computer at the front of the store, it then scans your face and sends all the details to the authorities. This whole process takes 5 minutes, then when you actually get to a computer its shit and only running IE, I spent most of my time waiting for pages to load and when I logged off I was 4 minutes over the hour and they charged me for an extra hour, I said fine ill use it for another hour but because I logged out they would not let me back on. FUCK YOU!

Also, when checking into the new place we also had to provide our own photocopy of our passport and visa along with having to fill out all the paperwork ourselves, get a photo taken on a webcam and sign various documentation… my god, is this all really necessary.

Anyways, I did do much else for the day other than meet some others staying in the guesthouse and do a load of washing.

Ill try and organize my train to Varanassi tomorrow to see the sights there and get out of the city. Apparently this place is amazing from what I have been told by so many people.
